The White Horse is cut out of the turf on the chalky upper slopes of Uffington Castle near to the Ridgeway. It is 374 feet long. The Uffington white horse is Britain’s oldest and most famous hill figure at 2,000 to 3000 years old. As to the origins and builders of the white horse there are numerous theories, as many as those associated with Stonehenge. A Celtic god or tribal symbol, the dragon slain by St. George, Celtic horse goddess Epona, a religious icon to represent fertility, built to celebrate Alfred’s victory over the Danes in 861 AD, horse worship in the Iron Age, created in the seventh century by Hengist in the image of a horse on his standard etc. The monument became very overgrown in the 19th Century and it has now been restored and is cared for by English Heritage. Visitors should be aware that can be very windy on top of the hill with no cover if it rains.
The white tiger (also known as the Bengal tiger) is about 3 meters long, and weighs approximately 180-285 kg (400-569 LB). It’s coat lies flatter than that of the Siberian tiger, the tawny color is richer and the stripes are darker.
White tigers are white colored bengals, they are not albinos and they are not a separate subspecies of tigers.
They have blue eyes, a pink nose, and creamy white furr covered with chocolate colored stripes. White tigers are born to tigers that carry the unusual gene needed for white coloring. Wild white tigers are rare species.

Question: Are odd-eyed white cats blind in one eye?
What does it mean when you see a white cat with two one blue eye & one yellowish-green eye? I've been told that a white cat with two different color of eyes means that it's blind in one. I just want to know if it's true. White cats are just beautiful regardless what color of eyes they have!
Answer: Although a cat with one blind eye may show a milky blue coloring in that eye, I think you may have been misinformed. There are some interesting facts however about eye color in white cats. These are both a matter of feline genetics:
* White cats with two blue eyes are often (but not always) deaf.
* White cats with "odd eyes," i.e. one blue eye and one green or yellow, may be deaf in the ear on the same side as the blue eye.
