New Jersey’s Newark airport’s Terminal B was evacuated on Friday (May 8) when a security scan revealed a couple of suspected bombs in the baggage of a Mumbai-bound passenger.The objects turned out to be fake bombs in the bag of a unit member of Karan Johar’s film “Jihaad”, being directed by Rensil D’Silva.
The film has been shot in the US and the unit was on a 2-day shoot in New York since the schedule had to be completed because Karan had waited a year to shoot in the present weather conditions.
The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi. The movie’s plot is rooted in terrorism and that probably explains why the crew was carrying fake bombs.
