Peggy Loves Vintage Happy Easter

Hi everyone! Sure hope you're enjoying your weekend and that you're having some spring weather! It's chilly here today, but the sun is shining beautifully! I'm still in the mode for making Easter cards. This time I used this adorable image from Peggy Loves Vintage! I love these vintage images. They take me right back to my childhood, and they're just so danged CUTE! All you have do do is print it on your cardstock and then put your card together! This cute little guy is from the Easter 4 cutouts.

I used Bazzill cardstock for the card base and matting, and the DP is from Nitwit Collections. The ribbon is from JoAnn's and the Easter sentiment is from Magnolia-licious. I added machine stitching and used an EK Success punched border (thank you Janie!!).  The inside is decorated to match the outside.

Please be sure and pop over to Peggy Loves Vintage as she has a HUGE selection of vintage images!!  She's sure to have something that would delight anyone! If you can't find it in her Etsy shop, you can always visit her web store HERE.  Check out her blog and become a follower too! Peggy LOVES giving away free images! :) Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you again soon! Hi everyone! I'm soooo excited cause we're actually getting some spring weather instead of blizzards! LOL! It was sunny all day yesterday and in the 50's, and then we're supposed to be in the high 70's by Friday! It might rain next weekend, but I don't care! It's still not going to be yucky snow! LOL! Moving on from the weathr report, it's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly!! We get to play with one of Dawny's fabulous sketches, and we are sponsored this week by the wonderful Simon Says Stamp!

For my card,  I used one of Peggy's cute Easter Cutouts from Peggy Loves Vintage. It's so very easy to make cards using her images! You just print one out, mat it, and attach it to your card! I think I've said it before, about the only way it's going to get any easier is to walk into a store and buy a card! Be sure and visit Peggy's blog and become a follower! She loves to give away free images!!

Cardstock is Bazzill, DP is from Nitwit Collections, flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is May Arts 100% silk from Stamp and Create. I added machine stitching and popped up each individual panel. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the dimension this time.  Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of my talented teamies creations. Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!

Thanks so much to everyone for all your participation and support! Because of you, we are #1 at Wikio again this week! YAY!!! How wonderful is that!!  So anyway, onto the new challenge! It's Pancake Day over in the UK,  so Dawny wants to see lots of lemon, or any zingy colors you want to use. And we are sposored by my fabulous sis over at Peggy Loves Vintage!  You can also visit Peggy's blog. Be sure and follow, cause she LOVES to post freebie vintage images!

    Peggy's Bio:
Hi, I'm lucky enough to be a retired grandma who spends her days working with my vintage card collection.

My husband and I have shared 35 years together and we have 2 sons and a daughter and 2 glorious grandkids ages 2 and 5.

I started collecting vintage cards quite by accident. I was helping with my aunts estate sale and ran across her collection. The cards were so wonderful that I fell in love with them and have been collecting them ever since.

I love to get a new vintage scrapbook and read all about the lives and times of the individual. Some of their stories are truely inspiring.

Isn't she adorable??!! She's from Peggy Loves Vintage and is available on two different set of Cut Outs. It's in Goldilocks and the Three Bears as well as Sweet Little Girls 2. I printed her out three times. I put two on the front, one popped up from the other for dimension. I used the third on the inside by the sentiment panel. The cardstock is Bazzill and I used two different sets of Pink Petticoat papers, Gingham and Lots of Dots.

I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon is from Stamp and Create, charm is a gift,  and I used Nesties for the frame that she is standing in. Oh my gosh, I almost forgot. The doily peeking out from behind was cut with my Cricut and the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cart. I can't believe all the fabulous cuts on this cart. It has doilies! Loooove it!! The glittered heart is by Melissa Frances. That's it for my card today! Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the fabulous creations by the amazingly talented design team! And then we'd love it if you'd join us with your zingy colored projects! You might get lucky and win a prize from Peggy Loves Vintage! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

So it's starting to look a little more like winter than spring. Today I've got a card for you featuring another one of the adorable images from Peggy's new Cutie Couples Cutouts over at Peggy Loves Vintage. These images are soooo much fun! This card took me absolutely no time to make! I just cropped out this picture, printed up on cardstock and assembled the card.

I think this image is so funny!! Her whomping him on top of the head with her rolling pin, and him waving his little home sweet home sign. LMBO!  The sentiment is one of my own of course that I just printed up using Microsoft Word onto cardstock. The cardstock is Bazzill and the DP are from Nitwit Collections. I added some faux stitching around the panels.

Peggy Loves Vintage - Cutie Couples

Happy Hump Day friends! I am having sooo much fun with these adorable Cutie Couples from Peggy Loves Vintage! She created three different sets of cutouts of these adorable couples for us  just in time for Valentine's Day!! (there's even one of a lady whomping on a guy with a frying pan!! LMBO!)   I was over at my friend DeeDee's blog the other day, and she made the cutest joy fold card, and I fell in love with it! HERE is her card (she used one of Peggy Loves Vintage Cutie Couples too!! So I then set off to learn how to make one. HERE is the link to the video if you are interested. I just think it's so cute!  I grabbed some of my scrap papers and made up this cute card VERY quickly!

I printed the cute little image out and just printed out a sentiment on my computer to go with it. I pretty much followed Mary's instructions all the way down to using the heart from the Doodlecharms cartridge on the Expression. LOL! I added a cute little bow made with red and white striped twine from PTI to the center of the heart. I also added a punched heart border courtesy of Martha Stewart.

You can find this adorable couple, along with many other cute, cute, CUTE ones over at Peggy Loves Vintage.  The only way to make card making easier is to walk into a store and buy one! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Fun, fun, fun!! An adorable Peggy Loves Vintage image!!

Oh my gosh, as soon as I saw this new image available from Peggy Loves Vintage, I KNEW I had to do something with it right away! It's just WAY too cute! It took me a few minutes to come up with the sentiment for this one. I ended up using this one, but I almost used "but...but.....that's not what I meant when I told you I wanted to get inside your apron!!".  I ended up liking the bronco one better. And what married woman hasn't faced the challenge of  "breaking" their hubby? LMBO!  I simply adore the images that are available at Peggy Loves Vintage! They're just begging to be used on fun cards with fun sentiments!!

And they're unbelievably quick too! You just have to print them out, mat them however you want, and then make your card! Easy peasy!! Make sure you visit and follow her blog too. She is contantly giving away free vintage images!  Papers are Basic Grey, cardstock is Bazzill. The flourish is made with the Magnolia Doohickey die and the ribbon is May Arts 100% silk.  Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - Red and Green must NOT be seen!

Hi everyone! I hope you're enjoying all the holiday festivities and that you're not stressed out with all the preparations! I'm actually doing pretty well this year. I've decided that I am not going to stress over anything. I'll get done what I can get done, and what will be, will be.  And I'm feeling so much better than  normally do at this time! I'm loving it!  My middle daughter and grandson get here in one week, and I am way beyond ready! We're all soooo excited and can't wait to make Christmas cookies, sing Christmas Carols, watch all the traditional Christmas movies, and everything else!

With it being Tuesday, it's time for another challenge from Papertake Weekly! This week, Dawny's challenge is to make a holiday card or project, but red and green is not to be seen, and we're sponsored by the fabulous Katharina at Whiff of Joy!  For my card, I used one of the most gorgeous images of Madonna and Child from Peggy Loves Vintage!! It's from one of her newest sets of Christmas cutouts, and it's just so easy to use!! I just printed it out, mounted it on cardstock, and finished up the rest of the card. Sooooo easy!!!

This image evokes the true reason for the season, and I adore it! Please be sure and visit Peggy Loves Vintage if you still have Christmas cards to make! Her images will make quick and easy work of it!  Be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the gorgeous projects from the design team, and then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Peggy Loves Vintage Christmas Cut Outs

Ok, the rush is on! Do you have all your Christmas cards made? Don't panic! With images from Peggy Loves Vintage, you can crank out those cards in no time at all! This precious image is from a set of her Christmas Cut Outs. I simply printed the image, cut it out with my circle Nesties, and popped it up with some dimensional tape. All cardstock is Bazzill and the PP is from Bearly Mine. I machine stitched the large panel, and while I was stitching the smaller panels, I noticed I had ran out of bobbin thread. I didn't want double holes, and it's so hard to get them lined up perfectly again, so I just continued stitching around it with my needle for the holes, and then used a white gel pen for the stitch marks. Not bad, huh?

Added a few Kaiser pearls, some paper lace courtesy of a Martha Stewart punch, and that was it! Please be sure and visit Peggy Loves Vintage to see all the fabulous Christmas images she has available to help you in your quest to get those holiday cards done and in the mail! And don't forget to follow her blog too. She loves to give away free vintage images!! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Peggy Loves Vintage - cowgirls, cowboys, and warriors

It's Friday night and I only have four more sleeps before my grandson gets here! I'm so excited and can't wait! LOL! Peggy just released some new cutouts featuring the cutest little cowboys, cowgirls, and warriors over at Peggy Loves Vintage! It's so easy making cards with images from Peggy! With the cutouts, I like to crop each picture and save them seperately in my files so they're always ready to just print and make a card! And with these images, you can put a card together in just minutes!

I cut a cowboy hat with my Expression and the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge to print the sentiment on, and I also cut out some stars using the George cartridge and tied a little bit of hemp around them. There's lots of machine stitching, and of course I had to use some of my May Arts Silk ribbon to tie a luxurious bow with my Bow Easy! From that I dangled a cute boot charm. That was it for this one! Please be sure to visit Peggy and take a peek at these adorable new cutouts! And don't forget to visit her blog too! She loves to give away free vintage images!! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Simple Anniversary Card with Peggy Loves Vintage Image

When Peggy Loves Vintage sponsored BBTB2 on Monday she provided us with several images from which to choose to create our project.  You might recall that I chose a cute hula girl.  This was the image that I almost used - this cute swimming couple.  I really liked this image also and decided to make a simple card for a friend's wedding anniversary.

I used the same frame technique that I used on the hula girl - the frame from Just Because Cards.  I also used the same bold colors that I used on the hula card, again matching the colors in the vintage image.

I finished the card with little red button with white cord knots and a few white dots from my favorite white pen.   The end result is a very simple card, but one I think is so cute.
